D3 labtronx aerial bracket and safari snorkel, will they fit?

Hi all. Have a Safari snorkel on my D3, want to fit a Labtronx Aerial Bracket to the drivers side, so as to keep it out of harms way etc. Does anyone know if the bracket clears a Safari snorkel?

    Thanks
    Regards, Will

Well I've ordered a bracket, so I guess I'll answer my own question soon...

Should have had a look at my D4 this morning! If it doesn't fit you can always go across to the passenger side.

I don't know if you have a roofrack fitted or not... but if you do you can run the aerial lead up through the "a" pillar trim and mount the aerial up there...certainly out of harms way (except for low trees that is).
Mine's on a swivel type mount and folds backwards if hit by anything... or I can just reach up from my driving position and push the aerial down if I want to access any low areas... works for me...
    cheers

No, it does not clear without some trimming. The bracket attaches on the hood hinge bolt.

I think he would probably be happy to cut one a little offset so it clears the snorkel, it could not hurt to ask.

Is that first hand information, or a guess? I've asked the supplier to check also.

No problems with mine, fits perfectly and no problems when raising or lowering bonnet if the aerial cable is placed between the aerial and snorkel.

Thanks Xoph44. I'm not sure if your snorkel is EXACTLY the same shape as a Safari, will find out in the next couple of days if it fits.

Yes, I have 2 of the brackets I ordered from the fellow down under. I have the Safari Snorkel. It's a bit bigger than the one pictured there. I think with some fiddling / grinding it can be made to work. I'll take some pictures if it helps.

To make it fit, it will have to be modified, here's a picture. My suggestion would be to manufacture it with an "offset" which will require more fiddling / work. If you talk to him, maybe once he has it sorted he'll send me one that works.
