Something to be said for the old paper maps. Was it very busy at Innamincka ?.
Its been a very long time since I was last there in an County V8, I hear the pub has been renovated.
Cheers

At least according to the satnav in my D4. Its in the scrub somewhere near Noccundra. You need to turn into the scrub about 5k short of the turnoff to Noccundra on the Bulloo Dev. Rd.
Glad I ticked that option box.
Fortunately, my $10 paper map still had it in the right place so we didn't die out there trying to cut our way through the scrub.
Still, that was the biggest problem I had on the whole trip, so I can't complain.
Cheers,
Jon

It was busy, but not crowded. There's a lot of work going on up there, so it felt a bit like being on site - felt funny at times not wearing hi-vis.
The pub's very flash now. They've done a good job on it, but of course it's lost some character. A big part of their business is contractors. We stayed in the motel for a couple of nights (slept in a bed - luxury) and it was surprisingly good. A bit pricey of course, but I thought good value considering where it is.
The point of the trip for us was to visit Coongie Lakes. It was beautiful of course, but even the road out there is a highway almost all the way to the National Park, thanks to all the drilling.
Cheers,
Jon
