    Transfer Case/Diff Oil Change

    Hi

Just wanted to ask the question - what is the recommended oil change frequency for the tx case? I've just had my transfer case replaced - refer Urgent HELP - Knock and shudder from steering/drivetrain - MY10 D4 3.0

When the dealer was asked about service intervals for the tx case they indicated that the tx case oil is supposed to be changed at 130,000kms or 5yrs (I am 120,000kms and 4 1/2yrs). Now I've never heard the tx case service intervals being mentioned.

Does anyone have any other advice or experience on this? If it was a factor in the failure of my tx case, I would have thought we would have heard more about needing the oil changed???

    Thanks.

    Rob
