Mine will not raise or lower without the engine running as one suggested earlier.
    Brett...
Maybe they changed it in the 8spd update not sure but mine doesn't beep only rarely when moving with the key and it works either engine running or no.

    Yours is broken Brett.

Mine doesn't beep either and will raise and lower without the engine running, until you run out of air.

Maybe.....maybe that's why the horn keeps beeping....telling me to leave it alone.

It's the same beep when you try to lock the car, when a door is open....I just get it all time as I increase the height.

I use the function a couple of times a week to hitch the float up for Nicole.

Sorry guys - so to clarify..

I can program the key/air suspension as per instruction in the booklet - has to be done within 1 minute of turning the car off, press and hold the landrover button, then press the lowering lever on the air suspension and that should be done?

What is the reason behind having the emergency lights on?

I would have thought the reason for having this feature would be to be able to raise or lower the car without having to unlock the car, jump in to turn the e-lights on or turning the car on even - If I have to turn the car on I might as well choose access height and its done.

I'd like to be able to use this feature for example when at the shops and you have something large and heavy to put into the boot, not have to start the car up or turn lights on etc. Also when I sometimes take my mum to the shops/doctors its much easier for her to enter the disco when at access height, again if I have to go into the car, turn a whole bunch of things just to press the buttons I might as well start the car and lower it..

does that make sense? I'm still not understanding how to get this to work..

Sinistr, I've always regarded this as a useless (to me) feature as I would like to use it the way you suggest - going to the car with something heavy - but as you have to open the car, turn on the hazard lights etc ... pointless. Fortunately it can be programmed to do something mildly useful - turn the headlights on and off ...

I guess lowered to the stops will make the roof easier to wash or load a roofrack.
I was shown how to do it but I dont think it sank in too well.It did involve the hazzars lights, dont think the engine was running.

The best thing to do is just lower the car when you get out thats what i do every time just before i pull up just hit access and when you get out its all lowered.

And no the car will not move without the hazard lights on they are very nervous about the car moving incase its in a low car park and a kid just hits a button and it raises or something they want to make sure you can't just accidentally do it.

Its pretty much used for caravans and towing applications,

    1. Leave the car in normal mode
    2. Put the hazard lights on
    3. Shut all the doors
    4. Grab your key and hold the headlight button down
    5. With headlight held down press and hold unlock the car will raise
    6. With headlight held down press the back door button and the car will lower.

Makes sense about the safety part I guess. That's what I do as well, lower before I get out... Guess I'll continue using it that way and maybe program the tailgate release instead

Just remember the more you use the raise and lower function the sooner the air compressor dies.

I used to lower every time I got out but really there was no need particularly after I got LLAMS so it is set at -20mm all the time.
