    Hi Chris

I fitted my GOE compressor guard a few weeks ago and it is exactly the same as yours. Two holes lines up on the edge but I had to bend the tab under the chassis rail, in fact it crackedaolng the tab edge when I did that. I also thought it sat a little low under the car.

I would say it is a new design.

This weekend saw fitting of a 3D printed prototype of a shroud to stop glare onto the touch screen. A flange at the top engages under the dash top and the pointed legs engage behind the bottom trim panel. It will need a few coats of spray putty to smooth out the 3D print imperfections and a final coloured top coat to finish it off.

Also fitted some GOE rods today. Below is rods at +60mm and at offroad height (ie total +110mm.)

    Cheers,
    Chris

Changed rear pads on the weekend. Got to 28 months and 74,000km before the indicator light lit up. I ended up going with Bendix pads as no one in Bunbury knew anything about Akebono pads and my local auto parts store had these pads in stock, ordered for another customer that failed to pick them up.

I replaced the wear indicator also. All up the job took about 2 hours, working at weekend pace .

Please excuse the rotated photo, *&^%*y computers.......

    Cheers,

Rods are in permanently. An easy job to install, possible with the wheels on but easier if you remove the wheels or put up on some ramps.

The rods are good. The compressor guard, that is an ongoing saga....

Been a while since an update....

Fab'd up a compressor guard last weekend. Made from 6mm steel plate. Could probably have gone 4-5mm but that is what the steel supplier had ready to hand. Sits nice a flush under the compressor. Is getting some paint now, ready for final fitting and a play in the dunes this weekend....

Now that looks really good Chris. Have been thinking of doing something similar for a while now. I don't suppose you took any measurements / made any drawings by any chance.
    Cheers .........

    Hi Brian.
I did make a cardboard template first off. I'll measure it up and post it up in a few days.
    Cheers Chris.

That will be great thanks Chris. Will definitely get me off my butt and making up my own guard - I have the steel already and have been putting off measuring / drawing / cutting.

You could also go into business marketing those sun visors as you have made for the touch screen. I have tried the Hema HN6 and HN7 visors in the same application, but they are not the right size and there is nothing with which to attach them in any case. Having the HN7 mounted on the Kuda mount and hanging above the touch screen blocks the sun a bit in some circumstances - but not nearly as good as your visor would.
    Cheers .........
