Had the rear diff pinion seal replaced yesterday as a warranty item. Drove home 2 hours last night. Came out into the garage this morning and immediately smelt the whiff of gear oil. Underside looks like this.

The dealer has been great. Tilt tray the 180km back to Perth no questions asked. If a loan car doesn't eventuate I'll be back to driving the Series 3 for a while....

Another example of the level of workmanship from "factory trained technicians".

Any decent mechanic would have road teated and rechecked their work before handing the vehicle back to the owner.
