    Question

Tyres are like Oils I reckon, Everyone's got an opinion.
I've no experience with 4WD tyres, but with reasonably powerful road cars, with which I do have some experience, if I've bought the car new, I normally look at the O.E. tyre, or another "Brand Name".
I've heard nothing but good about Cooper Tyres.
    Pickles.

I had cooper HT on my range rover. When they wore down to about 40% we legitimately thought the car was stuffed. Steering was crap, ride was noisy and harsh, couldn't go around a roundabout without activating DSC in the wet (not hoons). We were seriously considering selling the car it was that bad. Put on yoko geolander a/t, they have been Fantastic!!!

Love my new Pirelli Scorpion ATR's. Quiet and good grip on wet or dry pavement or dirt/sand and a WHOLE lot better on soft dirt/light mud than the CrapKumho tyres that were on it....
Not for mud at all but I don't go there much other than paddocks.

Now let's see if they will go the distance....

I'm on my second set of Pirelli scorpion Zeros on the MY08 D3 and reasonably happy with them, they have been on now about 2 1/2 years, not sure how many clicks. Handling was good when new but they are getting to the point of needing replacement soon and the handling reflects that.

I have tried the wranglers, Contis (ughh) and now the Pirelli's. Will most likely go with those again. I do have the old set and 2 of them still have some life so will swap out the rears and get another 6 months.
