    Question on noise?

Is there any added wind noise 'with the windows Up' with the deflectors on (over and above the racket of the Rear view mirrors @ 110km/hr) -

I am referring to the deflectors that fit onto each window (x 4) and around 50cm deep? 4 sale on Ebay
    Thanks
    Steve

One of you guys can take them off my car if you like. All they do is add wind resistance and wind noise and hit the mirrors when they fold in. They were on all four windows on the car when I got it so I can't compare to the noise without them. However, putting a window down is very drummy so I doubt that they are doing very much. I prefer to leave the windows up with the aircon on fresh air.

Didn't notice any increase in noise and they (well the one I fitted, see previous post) doesn't interfere with the mirrors folding.

I have searched and can only find these stated to fit early model cars. do the ones listed as D3 fit a D4?

I have, well will next week, a 2014 D4 and these look the business but no sellers claim they will fit my car.

Even the UK sites show what looks to be the same deflector.

Search "d4 weather shield" on this site for a previous thread on this subject. I intend to fit a full size weather shield to the drivers door, I think I have searched previously and the genuine part is actually pretty good value. I would prefer a full size shield as I like to travel with the window fully down below highway speeds.

    Cheers,

Yep Nat...you can't have any part of your body...arms etc protruding from the car when its moving. I understand why...but its still a bugger though.

My elbow does not stick out as far as my mirrors....I explained that to an officer who was going to write me a ticket. He called me a smart arse and let me go.

    You were lucky...

It's not outside the vehicle line it's outside the passenger cell profile.
