    MY14/MY15 tow ratings

Hi gents just a quick question, I'm considering upgrading my MY10 Disco 4 but as I troll through the brochures and useless LR web sites I came across the tow ratings for the MY15 series which says 3,500Kg towing with 150Kg (in their words) maximum coupling point / nose weight.

My 2010 D4 has 350Kg tow ball weight what has happened?
If that is correct then that means the hitch can only take 4.3% of the 3.5ton.

I'm in Canberra this week so I stopped into the dealer here to ask, what a waste of time I know more about the Disco than the sales rep did.

so anyone out there have one these, if so can you check and confirm what the recommended tow ball weight is in your manual?

    Thanks
    Paul

I guess JLR did not print Australian versions of their brochures.

Don't you hate it when passionate Land Rover owners are more useful than the Land Rover sales reps?

Hahaha i have that problem all the time!! When I'm taking to people about my car or taking someone for a drive i end up showing them more than the sales rep ever would have known!!

I just dont understand how hard it is for the sales people to remember the information you sell cars its your job and there isn't that many models to remember the specs and details of!

Probably due to different tow bar fittings. The pommy fitting are funny looking hook shaped things. The bars fitted in Australia are different being far more compact.
