Of the top of my head that seems a little on the low output side.
Hi all,
Any problems with the well priced century N70ZZ4WD at $229 for the 3L diesel discovery 4?
Cheers,
Jon
Of the top of my head that seems a little on the low output side.
Thanks to bite, yes it was only 760 cca.
Okay, what about a 60038. Delcor. At $289? 900 cca.

Darn autocorrect.
*thanks tombie.
There's some info here about D4 main cranking battery recommendations:

The Varta AGM G14 seems a popular choice.
Over the last 3 years I have had both the Century and Delco battery's fitted to the D3, the Century lasted about a year and the Delco about the same, the Century died but the Delco just faded away and became a pain. On these vehicles having a good strong and reliable battery is so important, otherwise you can end up with all sorts of faults and little problems that cause you grief and will drive you mad trying to figure out what's wrong.
As of six months ago I too now have a Varta fitted and bought from Michael who is a forum member and will send the battery out to you. Best to read the thread that Drizzle linked to find out details.
Cheers,
Terry

Thanks guys.
Had decided on a varta.. Then my battery died again and I couldn't wait for delivery. So went with an RACQ one, 900CCA , $365. It was either that or the century, no access to anything else without travelling.
The guy also ran a diagnostic on my engine light/performance restriction and it continually returned a p010 error- air intake sensor.
Hopefully a cheap fix...?
Cheers
Seems that some of you are going through batteries at a an very quick rate! Is there a reason for that? Mine is three year old OEM and going well....
And not wanting to frighten you......my "restricted performance" saga started out as an airflow sensor issue and eventually escalated to a new LHS turbo charger. But that's a whole other thread.
