Hi.
Pickup a MY15 TDV6 in a few weeks. Can anyone tell me if the MY14 TDV6 (base) has the stop/start operation in driving conditions?
thanks
Michael

Hi Michael, and while there have been no Stop/Start D4s supplied in Australia just yet, I have it from a reliable source that they will commence supplying MY15 D4 base models first and then all MY15 D4s will have it.
The RRS already comes with Stop/Start.
Thanks for that. The user manual I can download says it does have it but google seems to indicate that it's only on the SDV6 models. Will soon know.
cheers
Can only imagine the problems this stop start crap is going to generate , getting to stage where I am starting to miss the simple systems .
MY15 D4 TDV6 and SDV6 do not have auto/stop start in Australia. This may change in the coming year of course.
Also the TDV6 is dropped from the UK line up. LRA's web site has been updated this week to MY15 specs for "Build your own"

Interesting, I was wondering the same thing as I also have one on order.
Michael, do you have a confirmed delivery date for yours?
Im neither here nor there with the start stop I've only had it a couple of times in BMW rental cars and when i had a new L494 RRS whilst waiting for my D4 to finish pre delivery. I wasn't all that keen on it, i mean at first i thought this is kinda cool but after a while it just peeved me off like sitting in traffic and you just want to creep forward it starts then stops and if you just say release a tiny bit of brake pressure off it starts again and when i went through a Maccas drive through its starting stopping and i ended up turning it off because it peeved me. But thats just my thoughts in the short couple of times i had it could be just picky and nit picking maybe.
Imagine how much it will be to repair it when the warranty runs out, and this is not just for Land Rovers, but on any make of vehicle.
I can see the resale value on all makes taking a big hit.
BTW, I think it was VW who recently stated that the Stop/Start feature save just 0.2% of fuel over the life span of a vehicle.
Can't see that being enough saving to cover repair costs.
