    Rear Seatbelt Stuck

    Hello
My rear right seatbelt (2nd row) is stuck in the retracted position. Have tried pulling slowly and with car level as well as every other combination. It is definitely sticking as it would in an emergency situation. It is not caught or tangled.

It is a bugger as can't separate the kids!

It looks like it could be a DIY if someone could tell me how to remove the side pillar trim.

I have searched and does not seem like a common problem.

As a general comment the seatbelts in the disco are all slow to retract.

    Regards
    Richard

One of my middle row seatbelts does this if I park with the rear of the car up hill.

I normally move it to the a flat section of road, feed the seatbelt in further and it then releases.

Have you tried releasing with the front of the car uphill?

The rear belts have a ratcheting mechanism for use with baby seats. If it has been pulled all the way out the mechanism will engage. If this has happened then the belt probably needs to be pushed in a little bit to release the ratchet thingo. My kids have done this a few times. HTH
