    D3 stereo keeps seeking

After the engine transplant on my D3 the stereo autostore function does not seem to work properly. When selected (hold the FM button for a few seconds) it goes through the motions and then locks on to station 1. It will play for about a minute and then 'seek', come back to the selected station, play for another minute then seek again.

Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix?

I have a similar, but intermittent problem with Station 1. My solution is not to use Station 1. I store all my favourites on 2-6.

Could it be that this particular station has a weak signal compared to the others and that radio starts seeking when it loses the connection?

With the same station stored at pos 1 and pos 6, 1 would hunt and 6 would not.

The problem occurred no matter which station or button I was on. I tried settings from the menu button and RDS (radio data system) off. Seemed to make a difference as I can now listen to the radio without a 10 second pause every 60 seconds (very frustrating if you are listening to the news). Thanks for suggestions, indirectly the lead to a solution.
