    Unfortunately, the in thing is to let the winch cable out, run it over the car and then connect it to the tow hitch...... Then winch in and watch the car guillotine itself :-(

    Bull**** ..... No-one to this day has been able to produce evidence of that being done (except to test the theory on a wreck).

    Easiest solution (even easier and cheaper than an isolator) is to unhook it (the positive) from the battery and just connect it if you know you'll need it (or when you actually do).
