Thread: Access to 12v near rear view mirror

Hi all, thanks in advance,
Am fitting a dash cam just tucked up near rear view mirror and wish to access the power from the interior lights supply.
How does the interior light unit come out so I can piggy back off the power, or is it easier to pop the roof lining down ( best way to do that?)

The whole plastic surround including lights switches, mic holes etc, all come down as 1 piece. Can be stubborn, but is held in by 3 clips & 2 tangs.
Pull down from the back end (towards the rear of the vehicle).
Firm but gentle.
