The new Discovery 4 is just 1 month old and I told myself "there is no way I am taking this awesome machine offroad"I won't trade in the D2( which is already set up for off road)and it can be relegated to more off road duties.Plan was to keep the new car for some long distance touring trips but trouble is the more I drive the D4 I want to give it a go in the rough stuff. If I give in to temptation is that 3M clear wrap any good to keep the Ipanema Sand duco on the car instead of the trees?

Having gone from a lightly modded D2 to a standard D3, the differences are amazing. Take the D4 out and give it a try, you'll be very surprised. Depending on where you are in Melbourne, try Paul's and Spur tracks in Toolangi. My mate with his shiny 2013 D4 romped up both of those, and then did the chicken track on Rocky with ease at road pressures.

Hi Gordon, now that I have a black RRS, how does the road warrior protection go against bush pin stripe, I've already picked up a few after one outing. Keen to find a paint protection that doesn't cost the same as re painting the sides. Was quoted $3k plus for film. Does Road Warrior stop scratches from shrubs, etc?
Cheers Andrew
Yup, great stuff:

I've now found Paint Shield:
Paint Shield
Cheaper and works the same.
I bought the 4ltr tub, that will do the car for many trips to come.
