    Hi Sc0tt,
Lucky you, you get to go through the whole selection process again, and now you are a lot more LR savvy. Sorry to hear about your weather incident, better than being stolen or in a bad accident. You're OK, that's the main thing.........moving right along......next..............

No drama Scott. I didn't take it badly. I certainly do feel lucky. I had little hope of finding the FFRR unscathed.

    Thanks all.

I am in two minds as to whether they will fix it. The roof is the main concern. Lots of damage on all the hard angles and the paint has been cracked/lifted in places. The rear quarter only has three or four dents that could be pulled/pushed out with the right tools. The other damaged panels all just bolt off and can be replaced.

With a $34,600 agreed value, it seems like a lot or repairs could be done, but if they sold the car as is they may get $16k for it. They get my excess, plus the remainder of the premium. Need to leave 15-20% of what's left to cover the repairs for life claim. That leaves about $13,700 for the actual repairs before the car is uneconomical for the insurer to repair.

That is not a lot of money, really.....

    Damn.

    Regards
    Scott

Bummer about that ! Good luck with the insurer. I've seen some pretty massive hail damage repaired largely by paintless methods which are economical so there is hope.

I had a single dent pull out of the roof recently, no paint. The result was perfect.
