    Fuel Pump Failure Recall Notice

Hi I purchased a TDv6 last year and love it. Or did!
Had my first problem with hand brake failing and replaced it. Then I started to have strange surge, power loss experiences causing ultimately a major fault code unable to start car at all. Mechanics replaced fuel transfer pump, costly! I drive for 3 days and cars goes into super limp mode on four lane 120km hour highway! Back at mechanics he gets replacement pump and installs and 3 days later same happens. He now tells me its the high pressure fuel pump and it freaking expensive. I googled and discovered a govt. listed recall extension to vins covering mine, issued in 2010 for the high pressure fuel pump bearing being faulty and not lubricating sufficiently and failing. I rang Land Rover to ask if this recall had very been actioned and they were very cagey.
Has any one else had this failure and been under this recall notice?

    Ps TDV6 2008 RRS.

This should be posted in the D3, D4, RRS section, not the L322 section. You will get a lot more response on that forum.
