Sofar mine has been pretty close to the mark,1 fill up was better the other way,by almost .5L/100km.
Perhaps the logrithims in the new ones have been improved???

Great figures. My TDV6 MY14. The trip computer has been within 0.1-0.2 of a litre when I have calculated it. After 15,000km mine is at 10.8L/100km!! 😳Drive it like a go cart. A big go cart 😃still grinnin! 60% highway.

    Mee too

Getting similar or better figures from my MY14D4 SDV6,. about 4000k on the clock now.
9.0/L country running, 9.2 city, and towing a fully loaded Kimberly Kamper of approx. 1600kg I'm getting around 12.2L doing average 90km hr.
Checks at the pump seem to validate this.

I have driven our '14 TDV6 from Canberra to Brisbane return twice since we've had it & it has indicated 8.4L/100 and at one point was as low as 7.8 indicated by the trip computer, even allowing for a discrepancy factor it's still pretty good. I will next time check it using fuel consumption to distance travelled & see how they compare.

Ours has 14000k's since late May, very happy.

    RRS 2008 TDV6

8.6 now on the trip computer. Reality is about 10% above that, so around 9.4-9.5 with probably 33% city 33% highway and 33% country roads.

Regularly see as low as 7.0 on the trip computer on long trips.

We've had our D4 just over 5 weeks, it had done 5,700km when we bought it, now done about 7,000.
Trip computer showed 8.9 L/100 for the 300km drive home.
Around town it varies between low 9's to low 10's.
A few weeks ago we went to Waikerie with the trailer and race bike and it showed 12.4 L/100, sitting between 110 -120k's.
Last week we towed the caravan down to Pt Pirie at 100km/h (occasionally creeping up to 105) into a 30-40 km/h headwind and returned 19L/100.
The next day on the return trip with a tail wind it did 14 L/100, also sitting on 100km/h though we did run up to 120 passing a road train.
On checking actual fuel used against mileage, it has been a fairly consistent 1 L/100 more than the trip computer shows.
Still a hell of a lot more economical than our 3.9L V8 D1, by about 40-45%.
Its a hell of a tow vehicle

D4 for a week. First 300km around town showed 12.5l. Friday's trip from Melb to the Grampians and back showed 8.5l after refueling and resetting. This trip was at around 110 clicks.

I'm well impressed so far. Since new in August, my TDV6 has been as low as 8.5 and averages around town at low 11's. Long freeway runs gives me 9.3 - 10.4. I'm happy if I get 640km out of a tank. Towing the Jayco Dove was 12.3 at 100 - 110 km/h. Much better than my old 2007 d4D Prado. More power and less fuel. Does anyone have a preference to fuel company's for Diesel?

I do like the caltex vortex diesel doesn't froth up or anything when filling which is good but haven't really used it enough as the small town I'm in doesn't have it only when i go to Mackay.
