With the D4 its more the side windows that are an issue than the front. The grader has no problems. The tint can be an issuse when working in shadows

I'm wondering if that tint on those graders hasn't more to do with preventing the Shire Engineer seeing whether the occupant is actually awake in there.
    Cheers .........

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

When I went up to Westrac for the pre-delivery inspection I asked if there was a lighter tint as I do have issues early morning and late arvo seeing the mulboard in shadows when dusty, was told they only specify the one tint grade.
Couldnt know if its road leagal,it isnt my problem if its not.Perhaps the ruelz are different for earthmoving equipment compared to vehicles?????

Unfortunately, the driver is responsible, not the owner....
Thats why people get done for hire cars with dodgy tyres, bad lights etc..
I couldn't imagine a cop pulling a grader over tho.

Agreed, unlikely, unless involved in an accident, and it got ugly. Mind you this is theoretical, no one here knows the legality of it,
