    Completely unacceptable.

I have picked vehicles up from LR dealers in a worse state than they were in when i left them there. And when i dragged the service manager over to look at the vehicle he agreed. This happened more than once.

After complaining in one of those surveys they actually rang and apologised on two different occasions.

That was a good few years ago,and things seem to have improved.

They have been excellent doing a little warranty work on the D4,and the sons Puma.

But when i can i still go elsewhere.

Back to the original post, others are on the money,an electrical issue for sure, just hope it has been sorted.

    It's Back!!!!!!!

Well after the debacle on Saturday morning I received a call from the group GM who was most apologetic and promised to look into the matter.

Whilst speaking to him I mentioned the "wallowing effect" that was making people car sick
He informed me that he had just had a Disco4 for the weekend and would take ours for a run and see what he could feel.
About 1 hour later I received a call from him and he asked if the vehicle had ever had a wheel alignment. Not after only 26k I replied, he said that the vehicle was pulling to the left and the tyres needed rotation, he said that he would send it off for an alignment which had to be done at a specialist centre. He also mentioned that they had found a plug fron the steering column which plugs into a module under the dash was not entirely plugged in (pushed it and it clicked in)
The vehicle was returned to us on Monday night "washed and sparkling" and when my wife drove it to Gosford the next morning she commented that it felt like a completly different car and she was happy with that, I will have to wait and see how it is when she is the passenger on the weekend.

Apparently what happens is that the vehicle pulls to the left slightly and the driver subconciously corrects this then the stability control kicks in via the airbags making the vehicle "wallow" and your inner ear picks up on all of this movement making you "sea sick"

Will let yyou know how this all pans out on the weekend

That's very encouraging - an electrical connector that could easily have been making or loosing contact intermittently.

Wife not happy to say the least

Makes you start to think a"did they do anything"

I think this is utterly deplorable and my wife is FAST LOSING CONFIDENCE in the marque to say the least

Watch out LRA on Monday AM

Well you are probably lucky it wasn't washed - sometimes care is not taken to use CLEAN and WELL RINSED wash mits; rather the easy path is often taken using a DIRTY BRUSH. When I used a local dealer for a service I forgot to tell the service writer not to wash the Santorini Black finish (2009 D3)- they scratched it to death then denied all knowledge.

I now take it to an independent shop who does the services for just a little over half the cost of dealer service...

    Back At Last

His comment "that these vehicles are very sophisticated and only need a slight problem for every thing to go "pear shaped""is very true especially when you look at what they are capable of.

So here's hoping that this has cured the "problems" that we have suffered
