    Terrain Response error message

Looks like I am off to talk to the friendly diagnostic computer at MLR again this week.

"Terrain Response Special Programs Not Available"

Happened, so far, 4-5 times, totally at random driving down the black stuff in high range normal mode everything.

When it happens the lights highlighting the terrain response mode selected go out.... or at night they all light up.

    Any thoughts?

I do have Llams , but I have double checked the plugs are tight. and its TR rather that height selection that seems impacted.

Usually not a fault with TR itself but with one of the systems that it wants to use - suspension, transfer case, ABS etc after the other system has logged a fault. Code reader time!

That has happened to me twice, and both times it was my wife putting here bag down and hitting the switch trying to activate low range whilst we were driving.

Not sure if that's your problem but the 2nd time I just happened to see it happen.

I had that problem when my battery was on the way out.

The diagnosis we a loose plug under the console.

Time will tell if its all sorted - but so far so good.

Sounds like it would be wise to keep a close eye on my battery too.

    Thanks folks.....

Did you fit your Llams switch in the centre console?

No Graeme, I put it in the steering column shroud, so I've never had the console apart, but the previous owner did as the electric brake controller knob is there.

Just wondering if the switch connector might be susceptible to being dislodged although I've not previously heard of it being a problem.
