Why not appoint an Australian retailer, who'd stock some sets of wheels, and hence they'd be able to ship the wheels cheaply to any of their local stores? It's a no brainer for a retailer, as they'll sell new tyres at the same time as Disco etc buyers change wheels because smaller wheels means they'll also need new tyres. Deliveries to local stores are just Annual Overhead charges, are cheap anyway due to economies of scale - wheels just go along with other stocks supplied such as tyres and batteries a few times a week.

If it was so damn easy, every brother and his dog would already be doing it. There is a big difference to made in China mags ex BJ and a low volume , quality specialist product being sold to a limited market. Ask anyone in a small business. It's never that easy.

And just so I can correct it - could you point me to where it says there is a 6 ~ 8 week wait for the Terrain Response booklet? Obviously that's wrong.

    Cheers,

    Gordon
Sure Gordon. Your site says so when you buy it! As I did! It says all purchases take 6 - 8 weeks for delivery!!!

Sorry ... but that is what it said ... I still bought it though ...

I'd like a set of wheels ASAP.

Are their issues with alignment though?

    Douglas,

I've just gone through the purchase exercise, and at no point can I see anything telling me that it takes 6 ~ 8 weeks. Is this something you've received via PayPal, as all I can see is the online shop's general advice that products take 14 ~ 16 days.

    Cheers,

    Gordon

I know it's all a matter of taste but I have a black roo bar, how do you think anthracite grey would go? Would black wheels be better do yuo think?

Having a black roo bar and black number plates I think I have used up all my lair points. I'm personally scared of making my car look too much like a desert weapon. Not saying there's anything wrong with that, no sir, when I see a foolly sik D4 out there I go "hubba hubba", but for my car, I want to keep the Pimms and cucumber sandwiches vibe still alive.

I just wish I could find some decent strong LT 19' tyres. I'm going to give the Hankooks a go I reckon and if they annoy me out in the Kimberley, I'll get some rims after that. The car will be three years older and I may not be so precious about aesthetics.

I'm with you James, having never liked black wheels since they were fitted to all the noisy utes etc from my early driving days in the late 60s. I think there's enough black to break-up the white and that the grey would be much softer on the eyes.

I just did it again too ... and YOU ARE CORRECT.

I am very embarrassed. I wish though I could get the booklet before I get my D4!

Can the wheels be delivered in that similar time?

Well, the booklet is already on its way. But if your keen sense of observation is a guide to go by, I might just re-neg on hiring you as my financial advisor ..........

    Cheers,

    Gordon
