    Two months with my D3

Two months now with the V8 D3 and I am still loving it. There is one little thing that really annoys me. Who would have thought it would be a good idea to have to press the key fob twice to unlock passenger doors. It drives me nuts. Here in Townsville the first thing you do is unlock car and start for Aircon. When you around the car to deposit child in car seat I can't open door. It always happens with two kids in hand or dogs as well that need to be put in the back. I think it is a Seppo thing. They have so much car jacking, but, it really drives me nuts. The fuel economy is not great but otherwise I love this car. The engine is a joy to drive. My whinge for today.

That can be re-configured. I just can't remember how to do it in the D3, sorry.

I'm sure someone useful will be along shortly...

    Cheers,

Others would know for sure, as I have not bothered to check if you can turn the key two push off, like you can on a D4. Have you checked the manual?

If you do check it please let us know what the outcome is thanks.

By the way its great to hear your enjoying the D3. ...
    Cheers,
    Terry

    Hi

    From the users manual...

    Single-point entry
This is a personal security feature, which enables only the driver's door to be unlocked, leaving the other doors in a locked state.
Single-point entry can be disabled on individual remote control keys, by pressing and holding the lock and unlock buttons together for three seconds.
All doors will now unlock with a single press.
Repeating the procedure will re-enable single point entry.
Each time single-point entry is enabled or disabled, the vehicle will lock then unlock into the selected mode.

Had our D3 for just over 12 months now - still grinning, never enjoyed a vehicle as much.

    Cheers

The default setting is a security feature, which you would appreciate in a crowded environment.

2015 D4 probably the most amazing yet, why get a RR?

I have been in some crowded environment with people with guns and getting in your car through any door is handy. I am not sold. A gimmick that causes more frustration than safety.

Common feature on cars in the USA, part of LR's world.

I had a Honda Odysy rental in LA for a few months and when you drive off all the doors lock. Annoying feature. Some may like it, I don't.
