I gave mine a 300km run today and found them good on both dry bitumen and at speed on loose gravel where they tracked well and didn't throw stones under the guards.
Edit: Judging by slight scuffing on the thicker upper sidewalls of 2 tyres it appears that they found a few rocks to rub against on the drive around the tracks on Galore Hill reserve near Lockhart. The thicker section more than covers the ground side of the sidewall bulge.
Hi Colin, If you changed out the spare, did you give Bob Jane The Talk, about taking care with the spare tyre winch and not using the rattle gun on it and ensuring there was load etc or were they well versed in handling D3s and D4s being close to Barbgallos?Quote:

I'm putting it down to the low pressures, saying that I been told Land Rover rims hang onto to their tyre's really well at low pressures better than others, but just the same, not too fast and slow movements with tiller!
Not sure if WA SAND is different to the rest of Oz, but it's really soft, deep and powdery in places!:)

Jack, where can I order a set of those alternative MaxTrax in the photo? Looks like they can be specified in pink or orange:) Are they expensive?

I wouldn't want to drive on anything solid with pressures that low - one slight bump and I suspect that would be the end of the sidewall.
They are not too bad considering, the larger " mother " version is very expensive :wasntme:Quote:
