Go a vehicle with TR.
Coiler is too compromised and you will miss the Enormous benefits of TR and air..

						SupporterHi all,
Having taken a deposit on my soon to be sold D2a, I have been searching for my replacement disco 3. Observations so far on actual disco's sold have been interesting. My brief a disco 3 with less then 100,000 kms diesel auto, cheapest coiler approx $33k, SE $35k with air susp & TR, then a D4 2010 was $55k reduced to $45k and sold for $44k, the d3 were 2008 models, so for extra $11k one could buy a 2yr newer (08 to 10) model, both diesel autos, D3 to D4, similar kms under 100,000kms, all 2.7l engines, everyone would prob suggest if one can afford to get the d4, but I'm leaning towards a coiler but expected a bigger price difference bw coiler and air in D3. Thoughts people?

Agree completely with Mike and Jon. The air suspension/Terrain response combination is the single biggest improvement on a D3/4 over a D2. The flexibility it gives for all situations is amazing, and that's just the stock heights. Gets even better when you add LLAMS suspension control module which gives you more drop and height as well as control.

I totally agree with the others on a TR air suspended Disco over a coiler and If you can afford to stretch to a D4 then that is the one to buy, all round nicer and better finished vehicle than the D3 and it would appear as time has gone on with fewer bugs as well.
Good luck with your choice.
Cheers,
