Thread: rear view mirror

hi all,

wanting to upgrade my 's' rear view mirror which is non auto dimming, what are the later model or higher spec rear view mirrors like, what features do they have as std. I did like my older D2a compass mirror, not sure if this will fit as a replacement with auto dimming or a higher spec D3 one. Is the D2a compass mirror a stand alone feature which just needs power to work which could be made to fit a D3. do D3's have compass features with auto dim? thx

The D3's auto dimming mirror does not come with a compass.
It will be easier to fit the D2 variant if you want to keep the compass.

All you need to supply a feed is a positive, a negative & a reverse wire supply.

Just need the metal tang from the glass of a D2 & a windscreen fitter who knows what he is doing to fit to the D3 glass.
