A question on Long Ranger Aux tank

    Hi
I am thinking of getting a long ranger aux tank installed and have a question over the filling inlet

As part of the install they replace the filling inlet with a twin filler.

My question is does this twin inlet have the screw on caps like the original.

If not then is dust a problem?

    Thanks for any help,

    Richard

Yes the top including the cap is unchanged, it uses the original. The two pipes are connected below the original inlet. No dust problems.

    Hi,
Just fitting a Long Range Tank to my D3 2006.

This is the Twin Neck supplied. There is a new cap. It has a complete screw thread whilst the D3 oe is a gap screw thread. The one fitted to the D3 a STD does not fit....well I have not forced it as I do not wish t break it!!

One issue I am having is the Chassis bolts holding the swing weights on have seized inside the chassis. The spacer is seized on the Bolt. local garage, mate, are going to fix this tomorrow....hopefully.
The instructions are not the best...would of appreciated some photos to assist in fitting.

Chilly, why are you looking to remove the bolts from the weights?

    Hi Tombie,
The bolts have to be removed for the brackets to be fitted. The bolts then go back on....unless I have been a dum arse....going to go and reread instructions!!
