The arm would not have been removed for any reason other than to replace it.
How's the performance and are there any engine faults? I would expect airflow faults if the vanes aren't being controlled.
Folks,
was reading a few threads on the disco3 uk site about sticking turbo actuator arms causing poor performance.
Decided to check mine.
Now the arm on the actuator motor moves freely but the actuator arm itself that goes to the turbo vanes was no where to be felt or seen.
I could get my fingers around the ball that is on the actuator motor arm but could not feel the arm that goes to the turbo vanes.
Are these prone to falling off or would the dealer have removed it for some obtuse reason? I don't recall it ever being mentioned in the eyars they serviced the car during the lease period.
cheers

My thoughts about removal as well. Perhaps it has fallen off?
It has always had a bit of lag, which I understand is normal on these. At times it can be quite sluggish though once moving has quite a bit of get up and go though not as much as it used to have. 198,000km so can't expect brand new performance.
I don't have a code reader so can't check that, no indications on the dash at all.
Will have to get MR to check it when it goes in for service in June.
