    D4 Double Beep Sound

    After starting and driving away I often hear a short quick double 'beep' like alarm.

    It sounds about 10 seconds after getting on the way and is not a continuous sound, just two short beeps and then I never hear it again until starting and driving away again. No message is flashed on the instrument panel.

    Anybody know what it could be? Is the vehicle trying to tell me something?

    Mine does this when I try to lock it at the moment. The car is not locking as I think he driver side locking motor or actuator isn't it doesn't always work, maybe try adjusting your locking feature as you drive away to no locking and see if that works

    You might be on to something, I do have drive away locking enabled.

    I'd try it on disabled mode and see what happens. Does it also double beep when trying to lock it?

    Just tried it.

    I hear the lock actuators pull in as I drive away then shortly after hear the double beep. But, if I try to lock all doors using the lock button on the drivers door I hear the actuators pull in but no double beep follows.

    I think I have heard that double beep on mine when parked in the shed.Pretty sure its after the vehicle automatically locks itself after pressing unlock but not opening a door before the cut-off time.
    So could be a central locking confirmation.
