Great pictures.
They certainly look the part on the vehicle and those 18" rims.
The 265/65 look symmetrically in place on the D4, with these tyres, some extra lift via Gordon's rod's would help with clearance in extreme mud situations.
It will be interesting what BFG brings in first 265/60 or/and 65's.
Thank you for the link.

Should have pricing and delivery of the 265/60/18 next week
Rob
Contact has not been heard of so no idea. Simple choice we purchased 6xD697 in 265/60/18 with the 114LR and they look great with at least 50% more sidewall to start with. Can't wait to get them dirty.
If any SA members want to check the rims out prior to a purchase then PM me and we can organise that. I already know one person has photographed them at my tyre guys place on Unley road in order to convince SWMBO this is a vital purchase
Flinders Trip for SA members is in the Events section on the main page. We are planning a trip to the Southern Flinders so am inviting up to 10 Disco owners along

Still wating for my pics Rob
Cheers,
Gordon
OMG Gordon they only were fitted with the tyres on Saturday and are lying in the garage at the moment but will get you some shots in a week or so. And again thanks for all your help.
Just putting the rim and tyre beside the car got me thinking about heading off for another Simpson crossing just to get them dirty. I am involved in a project designing some new tracks in SA so they will be getting a severe flogging late July and early August so some actions shots then for sure

Hi Rob,
Also wouldn't mind some overall measurements in relation to space between guards, straight and full lock.
I am looking at 265/65's.

Gerald ours are 60 profile. I can say from a mate's experience who has the same rims but the old BfG KA in 65 profile they do rub in off-road use and particularly close to full articulation but nothing he has been overly worried about. The 60 profile works perfectly across the full range of suspension travel/articulation in testing so far and Gordon's spreadsheet indicates same. When you look at his calculator you will note the 265/60/18 is marginally smaller in overall diameter from the standard 19" rim and tyre. As a result the are completely legal and the spare fits in perfectiy, or at least that is what I am hoping for when I fit them
Rob
Hi Rob,
60 profiles, understood. Actually Gordon's sheet states yes for fitment of 265/65 and no rubbing remark.
Could you ask your Mate where they might rub. I run a ARB bar, this may provide a bit more clearance.
I do a lot of Vic high country touring, the extra wall height is highly desirable.

Gerald
265/60-18 are slightly larger in diameter than 255/55-19, not smaller.
