Does it glow in the dark?????
Andrew
Hi There,
To compliment the LR stock I have now acquired a late 2005 plated 2006 V8 4.4 HSE so it has got some fruit, sat nav, lots of sun roofs, leather seats obviously (seven of them), two additional cylinders and a relatively small fuel tank, plus the lights that turn into the corners, front sensors and a scrawped left front bumper bit.
I have a Japanese person who says something to me when ever I turn the ignition on, can I turn this off or do I have to just get used to it, or learn Japanese. There is nothing on the info panel everything seems fine. Goes well, very well in fact.
Is there anything else particular to the Jap import I should be aware of, would this be why I got it at a really good price? Or was that just good luck?
All responses gratefully received.
Does it glow in the dark?????

Hi Andy,
Not that I can see, no green stuff in the wheel arches either................ I think I have acquired an EDiff by the looks of things...... just had a bit of a look now I have the wheels off.............bonus. Came over in 2008 so missed the Fukushima incident thankfully.
For anyone,
Brembo brakes, where all 4.4 V8's fitted with Brembo brakes or were they an optional extra? Mine aren't red and don't appear to have Brembo written on them anywhere. Just appear to be normal brakes that work very well.

I believe Brembo were the OEM supplier for all D3 for the rotors themeselves. My 2005 V8 doesn't have any markings for Brembo on the calipers, usually if the calipers are upgraded its written on them.

Nomad3 , make yourself very familiar with editing the Car Configuration File (CCF). For the Japan market they run a seperate SatNav unit, from memory plugged into the MOST bus (at least for the D4 series). Suggest you look at replacing the LR system if you plan to use a built in SatNav. Trolling through the CCF you will spot a number of setting that need to be changed. Change on thing at a time and test it or you will pull out a lot of hair. Good luck.
Hi Nat,
You wanted a picture you got one, nothing to special, nothing added yet.
Considering things like LR tank and a bull bar to kick off with, obviously an electronic brake controller for the camper trailer, bit of a drawer system and then I have to figure out why the snorkel fits the 2.7 and the 4.0 but won't fit the 4.4, not sure yet they look the same fitments.
Sat nav...........interesting, haven't tried it yet, we'll see.....

		Hi There,
First question of many I suspect. The trim panel around the auto shift, the part with the letters in it, does this just "flick out"? I assume it does I can't see any screws. The R is constantly illuminated even when in D, P N or anything else. Gets brighter when actually in reverse, I need to investigate further.
