D3 SE with park brake issue

    Hi all,

A few months back my park brake module started screaming when you tried to apply it. The first LR mechanic who looked at it stated the EPB module needed replacing. A friend in the UK sourced a genuine new part for me and last week another LR mechanic fitted it along with new rear discs, pads and sensors. His diagnosis was the EPB had run out of adjustment. While it was apart I got him to fit the new EPB, however, I've it was all back together they couldn't calibrate the new unit to the car. They informed me they couldn't communicate with it at all.

When you lift the park brake switch the park brake apples, but releases immediately the switch is released to the neutral position. So it is functional.

I wondered if anyone else had experienced a similar issue, whether the unit can be reset and reprogrammed if it had been previously programmed, or any other ideas that might get it calibrated to the car.

Thanks in advance for any assistance anyone can give.

    Gregg
