Thread: Single roof bar for D3

Hi there - I have the standard roof rails with LR racks - all good, but I've heard that I can purchase a single bar to attach to the front roof holes to accommodate an awning support - meaning a bigger (better?) awning without the need for a new set of extended roof rails.

Is this the case and if so, where do I purchase?

Hi,

If you are intending on going down the same path as I did in that thread, you might need some taller spacers than the particular ones I used. This is because the Rhino rail is lower than the OEM rail, and the Rhino sports cross bars are also a little lower than the OEM bars.

I am sure they can find the right height spacer to give you a front bar that will be nice and level with your existing ones, but just something to check in case you were going to order parts yourself.
