Gday Pedro,
I just looked on ebay prices ranged from $130 to $350 . just depends on which end of the spectrum you are game enough to choose.

My mechanic charged me $500 for the hub assembly plus an hours labour. Maybe we need to have a chat, he does use genuine though.
Hi Guys
I just paid $825 for a front wheel bearing hub, I feel a bit silly, should have done some research first.
I have recently upgraded from my beloved D2 to a 2005 D3 HSE TDV6 with 200K on the clock. I am loving the D3 but there is a drive train noise that is realy giving me the sh*ts.
The reason I booked it in to the service centre was because of the noise which they diagnosed as a front wheel bearing, even though I said the noise was coming from the rear. They said they put a stethiscope on the the diffs etc and said noises were what you would expect from 200K d3.
Anyway as you probably guessed the noise is still there but not as bad and at a higher speed (60 ish). It is most noticable when you have a full load of people and going up a hill, other times it can dissappear. It is a sort of low revolution soft thudding noise, it is quite slow so I can only imagine it is axle speed but I am guessing.
Anybody have any sugestions? Diff or maybe I need another bearing replaced? I'm a bit reluctant to take it back to the same mechanic at those rates.
They are more common then people think. Did my front left just on 130k on my 2009 D4. When I ordered the part here in oz from my indie parts guys he was like "we've never had them in no ones needed them".
So I got one from the UK. Called him back about 6 months later and hes like "we've ordered a whole bunch seems everyone needs em now" lol
From what I saw they just go very quick when they go.
111k 2008 D3 about 18 months ago. Near side front. Very crunchy sound and it got really bad over about 50 km. I had it replaced by a respected indie for $600 parts and labour at very short notice.
In retrospect there was a slight "unexplained" noise from the front left on braking about 300km before it suddenly got really bad.
cheers WD
