I giving some thought to getting 6 tyres then I will not have the issue

I can then just take the tyre only as a second spare.

Not sure if I could take the tyre off another rim and put this one if I had to

If I do buy a 6th I would like to include it in the tyre rotation but without a rim I am not sure the people who do the alignments etc will be happy to do it or will charge a fortune

The problem I have with a 6th tyre/wheel is that I have no place to put it... So am travelling with one spare only.

There are tools around to enable you to change a tyre on/off a rim, if you are so inclined. But if you are taking a 6th tyre might as well buy a rim instead of the tools..
