Hi Guthrie,
Still working fine? I am considering doing exactly the same as you but read some feedback that it may not be working as smoothly after the latest apple software updates.

I hadnt seen this posted here before... so I thought I would share.
As I found out when I recently bought a 2010 model D4, it doesnt stream music via bluetooth. You can only connect play music from your phone via the AUX port or the 30pin ipod cable.
After some trial and error, I can confirm the "Tune2air WMA1000" can plug straight into the 30pin ipod connector and allow you to stream music from your iphone. I had tried a few cheap ebay ones... before spending the money to get this model.
I bought the unit from ebay.. but the same model is listed on amazon here [ame="http://www.amazon.com/ViseeO-Tune2air-WMA1000-Bluetooth-Integration/dp/B00B52LLJ6"]Amazon.com: ViseeO Tune2air WMA1000 - Wireless Bluetooth Music Interface Adapter for Car Audio Integration: Cell Phones & Accessories@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41rZv-Fjg%2BL.@@AMEPARAM@@41rZv-Fjg%2BL[/ame]
My iphone still connects to the D4's bluetooth for phone calls, but now also connects to the WMA1000 to stream music. Spotify and Apple Music apps seems to work fine. The head unit now shows the name and artist and you can skip songs using the buttons on the steering wheel.

With an iphone 6 on ios 8.4.1:
- The Apple Music app always shows the song name plus the forward / back buttons on steering wheel always work
- With Spotify the song name always shows, but sometimes the forward / back buttons on the steering wheel dont seem to work. Not sure why at the moment.

I'm trading in my out of control Patrol on Monday for a Disco 4. I've been reading the posts on here the last 6 months contemplating purchasing the D4. Probably should have done it from the start.
Anyways I've ordered one of these last week in advance so hope it goes well. Can't find any info on the Land Rover plug with lighting connector so this was the best option. Also ordered the 30pin adaptor with headphone cable as I almost got the one that didn't support audio. I'm sure lots of people have been down that trap. The non audio adaptor is only good for syncing and charging. Will be interesting to see how it goes..
Welcome to the forum mate, You'll love the car and as you have probably worked out already, here resides the most helpful bunch of people around. So, if you have any questions at all ask away. Make sure you learn how to use the various Terrain Response modes - get the GOE booklet for this. Otherwise enjoy your new ride...when it comes! Lot's to learn.
Cheers,
Sean

Hi all, I received the BT adaptor the other day. Just wanted to say as well I was pretty surprised. It JUST works... Plugged it in, put the pairing code in phone and that was. Works perfect. Couldn't be happier on performance. Price, well thats another subject.. haha
I take it Guthrie you have the full colour screen and not the base spec screen?

I also got one of these the other week.
I use it with an Android phone, so has reduced functionality compared to an apple as far as media info displayed on screen but otherwise all controls work via steering wheel and screen.
My only gripe is that when connected, it forces the music player on the phone to play, even if you pause it or stop it. It pauses for 5-10 seconds and then will force play again. Only way around this is to change the source on the head unit.
Given flexibility of Android O/S though I'm moderately confident I will find a workaround.
Sound quality is good, and the convenience of not having aux cords is great.
