SupporterThe USA had the 4.0L V6 available as standard with the V8 an upgrade option on the LR3 SE until 2008, whereas the HSE only had the V8. From 2008 the V6 was not offered and all models had the V8.
There are a few performance chip options available for the V6. This mob are in Australia and their data sheets will give you an idea of what to expect if you chip it:
Powerchip Performance Software Tuning for BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Audi, Porsche
Overall, these power gains are modest and you'll need to use 98 octane to get maximum effect.
