Thread: 1st year service

D4 just had its 1year service. I noted some small amount of sloppiness, shunting, generally not as smooth as before feelings from the gearbox. Dealer applied an 'adaptive' transmission control module and transfer box software update, and WOW it's back to being totally smooth shifting, both up and down, like new again! Apparently as the 'box beds in, they can adapt/reconfigure the software accordingly. It works!

Also the adaptive is impacted slightly by the driver at the time, so if you 'time share' the vehicle it can be a little awkward for a while when drivers change.

I'm fortunate in that I'm the sole driver of mine... And Emma is the only driver of hers - although her gear shifts will always be at her discretion (D90)
