I assume Ben you are just talking about having the spoken instructions come through the stereo when you select Bluetooth as your audio input and view the video on your phone? Not some kind of funky video over Bluetooth arrangement?

Correct, google maps audio directions come through your speakers, then grab a phone stand for your phone either in the cup holder or on your dash, I find all you need is a simple glance, the audio directions are generally most of what you need.
It may not work for you but i'd strongly recommend trying it before spending cash on more, it's great for my needs.
Yeh I prefer to use maps off my phone in the city too.
This is specifically to get access to Hema on the main screen rather than have an external unit like the Hema Navigator or run it on my phone screen which is too small (I refuse to have a phabet) and would need to be on and visible all the time on longer runs.
IIRC in South Australia you're not allowed to use GPS navigation/mapping off a phone, in a cradle or not.
