MY07 2.7L EGR Blanking - who has done this

Did a search and the only info was back in 2011. It covers EGR blanking up to MY06. Is it possible to do EGR blanking on 07 or does it result in trouble codes in the ECU ? If so, can the EGR program be deleted from the ECU ?

EGR blanking does throw error messages on the dash for MY07 and on (EU4+ motors). The ECU can be programmed to permanently close the EGR valves - but it is a $500 job where the ECU has to be removed from vehicle. (I asked one particular remapping company about it recently).

    Hi Jexhed,
    I have a 2009 2.7 Diesel Euro 4 with both a EGR blank and a Remap.

    It's great.

Can be done via Bell Auto Services and a IID tool with NO fault codes

Let me know if you need more info.

I tried a EGR blank on my 08 without success.

I would be interested in that, can either PM me or put up here.

I would be keen to know cost , is the remap for more power ? and if it could be done via a different code reader such as Hawkeye.

Even the contact details of who you done it thru would be a good start if that's easier.

    Thanks and Cheers Ean

    Thanks Richard,
I have a 2009 Iveco daily 50c18 that I have installed a blanking plate and had quantum tuning delete the EGR program, cost was $1300 for the program delete and minor tune. It was an ECU out job as well.
I was interested to know if the same process was required for 2007 D3. Some research on UK forums after I posted this question, indicates the EGR program delete is required on the MY07 & later. Who in Perth area can do the program delete and what does it cost ?
Edit:- just noticed you are in Brisbane
    John
