Dont panic.
The wear sensor is around 3/4 way into the padit simply is a wire which the pads have worn thru and breaks the circuit switching the warning lamp on..
You do need to get them fixed, you have some time up your sleeve

Hi All, Brake wear light has just come on and so I went to book the D4 in to get the pads replaced (+potentially the rotors)
They are booked solid for servicing and can't fit me in for 2 weeks!
Has anyone had experience getting pads and rotors changed in Brisbane at somewhere other than a LR Dealer?
Was thinking of trying somewhere with at least a name to live up to like Ultra Tune?
Dont panic.

I made the 1 millionth AULRO post
I would give an indi a ring, they are the only ones i would trust with a D4.
There are quite a few around, don't go to any old brake place or mechanic.
IMHO,MR auto are the go,but you may wait a week or two with them as well,as they always seem to be busy.
Do you have a "Pedders" shop nearby ?
They do a lot of brakes, and are also the agent for Akebono brake pads, which I am now running on my D4. Very happy with them so far.
Cheers .........

SupporterNeeded the front Brakes doing a month or so ago....simply went to ABS rather than online...figured I can take them back if the wrong parts were supplied. They had the Rotors, pads and sensor in stock and got the lot for around $500. The pads were the identical manufacturer to the OEM's.
Asked about slotted rotors and the guy asked if I was doing any performance race track driving and if I wanted to wear my pads down quicker?...I went with standard Rotors! the vehicle pulls up better than the LR unit that was fitted.
Any competent Mechanic should be able to fit the Rotors and pads if you can't do them yourself.
