    Strange unlocking issue - Keyfob

    Gday All,

Fitted a new silicon pad to the key fob and since doing it , when I unloack the car using the key pad the rear tail gate unlatches to where its not quite open but the interior light will remain on and the message centre tells you its open.

Never done it with the original fobs , just wondering if anyone has had this happen.

    Cheers Ean

Mine will do that if you press the tailgate unlock button, but not with the regular door unlock.

Perhaps the new cover is sufficient to also press the tailgate button?

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Thanks will have a look and see whats going on.

Had the car for nearly 5 years and only just realised the 3rd button unlocks the tail gate.

Be careful what that button Ean. I think it is possible to unlock tailgate only > access the back and accidently leave key in back > vehicle auto-locks.

IIRC, the auto-locking occurs when using this button alone.
