			Disco Fabric Seats

					Hi
We have a 5 seat MY12 TD4 with charcoal fabric seats, which have become slightly stained on the seat bases through general use.
Has anybody had any success in cleaning these seats, either D.I.Y or using commercial fabric cleaning services?

 Cheers

 Mike

					Assume you mean a D4, not a TD4.

My D4 has leather, but in a previous Prado, I had charcoal fabric seats. When they got dirty, I used a spray on carpet cleaning foam. Sprayed it on the seat base and backrest and let it soak in for a while, then removed with a strong vacuum cleaner (I have a wall mounted industrial vacuum cleaner in my shed). Always brought the seats up looking like new - and the Prado's I had were all used on minesites (most recent ones on iron ore mines).

I found the best stuff to use was Vanish Preen powerfoam. Worked well on the carpets in the vehicles too.

I've also used this on the black carpet on the floor of the D4. Even though I have full rubber mat set front & rear, there's always a bit of crap gets in under the rubber, especially around the edges. The carpet is still looking like new.

 Cheers .........

			D4 seat cleaning

The best way to clean the seat is to remove & use a high pressure hot wash to clean then, this is far and away the best way I have found to get a good result & is how the professionals do it.
