    Steering angle sensor fault

Well, I assume it is a steering angle sensor fault.

Had a wheel alignment done Thursday week ago because the car was pulling to the left a tad. Now the steering wheel is ~5? out and today she dropped to access height and shutdown HDC, DSC, etc.

It reset the faults after a prolonged rest at home but with the steering wheel so far out of kilter it'll do it again no doubt. Is there anything I can do in the interim while I wait for the workshops to open again?

    Cheers.

Pull the 20A engine bay and 5A passenger compartment suspension fuses while the vehicle is at normal height to prevent it lowering once it starts moving.

Finally fixed (by the dealer) yesterday and back on the road. The report states "Found all 4 front lower control arm inner adjustment/mounting bolts loose, able to be turned by hand.............."

I will be visiting the original workshop next week seeking a refund.....at least

    Steering sensor/ alignment "fault"

Had recent issue after replacing lower front suspension arms.
Thought I had the alignment more or less right (enough to take to aligners anyway). dash warnings after 100 metres and lighting to terrain control etc, all off and vehicle dropping in height.
Issue was that in my refitting I had somehow managed to get steering wheel off centre (pointing to one side slightly).
That set off the steering wheel sensor and triggered all the rest of the go slow.
Once I had wound a tie rod end across enough to correct the steering wheel, it was all good to drive to aligners.
Others report support arm cam alignment bolts being loose.
Had this happen also with result that "lugs" which locate the cams sheared off/ground away, so had to weld small blocks of steel to enable relocating cam bolts.
What I thought odd, was small size of the lugs and fact that lugs only locate one end of the bolt (cam lobe on other end of bolt has no retainers). Given the weight and strain on the lugs, you might think lugs front and back might be more secure. Some other 4WD's have them front and rear.

Once the adjustments are made and the bolt is tightened correctly those lugs serve no purpose at all.

Got my money back today from the original workshop (National Chain) after a debate along the lines of ................apparently it's all an LR dealer plot; that the workshop could not be at fault; that they use aircraft spanners (what the...?) and that I should have waited (now 2 weeks) for them to come back to work to fix it.

    Disappointing to say the least.
