    The rest of the pedal

I discovered the rest of the pedal today.
Did the brake adjust on the camper trailer and went for a test drive. The camper trailer is heavy, around 1400kg at the moment.
Had it in sport and drove it like I normally do,ie like an olde farte, the camper trailer, now known as "The Heamarroid" makes its precence felt.
Anyhow I booted it from a standstill in sport.Gearchanges at close to 4000rpm,and it got up and went.
Pretty impressed with the trailer brakes. You can feel them working,Redarc Tow Pro in auto mode.I used the trailer to cart firewood when I first built it.The brakes never impressed behind the D2,Tecknosha Prodigy controler.
    This D4 continues to impress
Will be interesting to see what the camper trailer does to the economy. Will find out next week,1400km return trip coming up

Try that at night(giving it a boot full),and use your mirrors to look into the headlights of the car behind

I don't even notice my 1600 kg campervan - put your foot down more often.
Will be interesting to see how your mileage goes. Mine was only marginally worse

Glad to hear that as Ive still got a few projects lined up for the trailer, and its not carrying water or fuel yet.It will go very close to its 2 tonne limit when complete.

    The rest of the pedal

I know what you mean. Mine weighs around 1700 loaded. Up hills towing is one of the few times the D4 gets to stretch the legs beyond 3000 revs and up to 4000. Properly loaded, it feels like it's appreciated.

Exactly. If you do it unladen you very quickly run out of road in the city. Or go way over 100kph on the highway.

I have an ex D2 V8 owner who is going to share the driving as its 700km in a day.I bet it impresses him.He has defected to being a trodgolite, awaiting one of the last Deefers to be delivered
I couldnt believe how well it went with the load on the back,I always said the D2 TD5 went as well towing 2 tonnes of firewood as an emty trailer, this thing is a different story.

    The rest of the pedal

I like the look on the dunnydore driver who pulls up in the left lane at the lights expecting to cut in front on the other side of the intersection ... Only to be confronted with acres of shiny black metal moving off in front of him ...Maybe I should try using sport once in a while The rest of the pedal
