The RRS doesn't look as big, mainly because it's a bit shorter but also with the sloping upper tailgate. I think the seat is also lower so easier getting in and out.
    L322 tdv8 poverty pack - wow

The L320 Sport is definitely shorter than the D4. 4" less wheelbase. It's fractionally wider with the mirrors out. The L494 Sport is longer.

    RRS turn circle 12.3m
    D4 11.45m
Length & width nothing in it - yes 100mm more height but there shouldn't be many carparks lower than 1900 anyway
turning circle almost a metre better in the D4
    I think it's a perception thing
Those specs are for the RRS2. Being 3 weeks into the ownership of a MY16 model and coming from a MY10 disco, I can unequivocally say that there is nowhere near the same room in an RRS2. More room is given to the rear seat passengers which is welcomed by my two teenagers. Rear seat slopes back more into the luggage space not to mention the rear window. The real story is in the luggage space:

    RRS2:
    Rear seats up:
    782 Litres
    Rear seats down:
    1652 Litres

    D4:
    Rear seats up:
    1260 Litres
    Rear seats down:
    2560 Litres

    I really miss that space!
    Cheers,

    Sean

Yes over take uphill at 110 kmh . I had a 100 series cruiser with turbo diesel chipped and exhaust and would have no issue towing 2.7 t uphill at 120 kmh and speed up to overtake if needed.
So today was interesting day. I went on the test drives. Test drove the tdv6 and test drove sdv6 . Both brand new so latest specs.
Got quoted 95k for she and 83k for td with tech pack and few others bits. Land Rover have a special at the moment with 10k of the list price. To be honest I didn't see a huge difference between the two. Rovers and was a bit disappointed withgthe sdv6. I was expecting more grunt. I test drove the jeep straight after as the the two dealers are only a few kms away, I gotta say I was blown away with the grand. Power response all amazing and very quiete. I can get the over land for 72k drive away and has way more options than the hse and is 20k cheaper. I don't know if I can justify paying the extra 20k for the rover and still not get the options like heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel! Sunroof, adaptive cruise, emergency braking etc..
Unless I find a super bargain used disco I'm afar aid I may have to go with the jeep.

The former Sydney Exhibition Centre was one; have to say those height bars make a lot of noise when you hit them...

And all it says about the Disco is that it has good resale value.
