    Independant LR specialists in Brisbane

    Folks,

we all know of the LR dealers, with no doubt good and bad experiences. Price wise they are ridiculous. ok if you ar under lease plan and warranty still,

What about LR independants? I have used one at Redcliffe with mixed results.

Colleague at work has used Knights House of Rover at Bowen Hills for work on his Freelander and gives them a good rap. Has anyone else used them?

The other mob have not been thrilling me last few times I have used them, especially since the engine destroyed itself not long after time belts were replaced and said belts/tensioner bracket were the cause - no redress and cost me $13k for another donk.

Knights are a lot more convenientfor me too.

Keen to read of expereinces good or bad.
    Many thanks
    cheers
    Peter

I have used Knights for a few years without any issues but I also use MR occasionally and also without issues.

Bob at Knights has been around for years and they do know their stuff!

I found them pretty good price wise but as I never took it to the dealer I can't compare.

I didn't have an issue with their work quality at any time so I was happy with the price so long as it was all done right.

Hence why I did not mention a name.

Can say I took the D3 to HOK and they fixed up the body creaks and groan plus a couple of other left over issues.

Bob knows his stuff and loves a chat. :-)

Simply loosened them all off then tightened in the correct sequence and to correct torque as per LR procedure.

Start with centre and work outwards. Same as you would do to tighten a head down.

    No more noises.

Will get them to do the control arms next week.
