Thanks for reply Rick - Not bad at all!

Any comments on durability? Does this stand up to a car wash spray? And how would you go about removing?

Great videos - I recommend the one with the balloons

Sorry for the delay, I just finally got out of the car. LOL

It's fine for washing. A auto car wash would not damage it. To remove it the easy way is with a high pressure washer.
For general 4wding and road use the Plastidip is fine. However for my serious 4wding I swap to my epoxy painted 18" rims.

It would have been better if our exchange rate hadn't dropped so much lately.

powerfulUK have heaps of great youtube vids to support their products and are pretty responsive via email with extra queries. I think re lettering in particular they might even have a template to use.

The videos are handy too just to see what kind of effort is required with the clips etc on various body parts - eg the front and side grills if you want to pull the off and give em a squirt of enamel.

Black Pack for D4 - Seeking wisdom!

Not convinced I could get the same finish as factory gloss bits with Plastidip, I did look into this, and was quoted about $1800 from dealer for all genuine replacement black pack bits, minus the wheels, roof rails and door handles. Note, factory mirror caps only come primed, so need painting anyway. All about the same pricing as same parts imported from Duckworth's UK, for example.
For me, I'm still undecided which way to go.

Plastidip is a low sheen finish, but there is a Plastidip Gloss overcoat if you prefer a shinier finish.
The beauty of the low sheen finish is that the wheels do not show brake dust.
If they where gloss they definitely would show it.
