Exclamation Fitting Prodigy 2 Brake Module to 2016 RRS

Has anyone fitted a Prodigy Brake controller to a 2015/16 RRS. I am led to believe that a plug already exists behind the steering wheel cover. Is this correct before I go pulling out more panels and plugging into that which may prove catastrophic?.

Have you read the Sticky on brake controllers (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-d4-rrs/...er-brakes.html). Unless you like a good read it might be best to go towards the end as its a long post started in 2010.

I have had a Towpro fitted to my 2014 TDV6 RRS. Sorted by Sneigy at Melb city landrover. Very pleased with the result. Not at all intrusive to cabin space with the control knob mounted to the left side of the steering column.

Not sure why you would want to go with the Tekonsha given the new RedArc Tow Pro is an excellent item, smaller and just as clever. Since moving to the D4 from Prado it has been a good decision and we tow on and off-road so demand a device that can cope. Prior though we had been using the Prodigy in our cars for around 10 years as it is a very good unit

If you do not tow off-road I would look at the Tow Pro

I already have the Prodigy and it has served me well on my just sold D4.
Further, I am led to believe there is already a plug wired into the RRS wiring harness, located behind the panel under the steering wheel. This plug, according to the Yank equivalent of AULRO, is compatible with the Prodigy.
Anyone know if this is so on the right drive Australian RRS - Current model?

Also I do tow off-road with a tandem axle much travelled off-road van.

If the LHD version of the vehicle has the connector near the pedals then the RHD version should also have it near the pedals. The only other possible spot would be in the RR fuse panel area but wont be there only for RHD vehicles.

Any chance of posting some pictures of your off-road van in the caravan section?

Am I reading that right Graeme, is it saying there is an EBC installed? I thought all connectors/plugs were prefixed with a "P".

The schematic shows the controller (module) rather than just a socket. I obtained the schematic directly from Topix for the AU version and as you can see has that notation on the page so not just a copy of the US or other country's version. I hadn't spotted that significance when down-loaded more than 2 years ago.
